January 14th 2007 Ride

By: Jerry T.

This day started of very dark and dreay. It was misting as I left the house, I planned on going to Glenwood Landing just to see if anyone was going to show up. I figured it was a BUST as far as the Ride was concerned.. Upon arriving I saw Frank was already there, waiting patiently. I pulled up beside him and was informed a group from Daytona was on the way. Well the Small group arrived, we talked a little and decided to take the jump as the showers were coming off the coast and drying out as they came inland. As we pulled out it was misting again and got fairly heavy along the St. Johns corridor, but the further west we went it started drying out. By the time we arrived at Renningers Flea Market / Car/Bike show it had started to clear. Rain Suits came off as well as the jackets.

If you needed parts for an Auto or Bike that you are building up this would be a good place to check out. There were also some Cars and Motorcycles for sale.. I included a picture of one of my favorites ((A 1960 Ford ThunderBird Convertible with the two seater Kit)not for Sale). We all met back at the Bikes at One O'clock and headed out to find lunch..After a few turns and miss directions we ended up at Crazy Gators for lunch. After lunch we headed up SR19 to 450 back to 42 and to Deland where I broke off to head back to Lake Helen as the rest headed to their respect homes. Another Nice Ride.. If you are reading this and were not on any of the rides this New Year, You are really missing out on a Great Time...
